At Herbst Haven we go above and beyond your average kennel. With every stay we treat your pal as if they were at your own home. Our place, in the country, serves surrounding cities of Washington County. We have various size climate controlled kennels with around the clock care. We have top notch amenities that are continuously cleaned and sterilized. Simple reason why you should choose us is we will love and treat your dog as if they were our own.
Herbst Haven Building One Accommodations:
First Come-First Serve For Large Breed Dogs Only (50lbs or Higher)
Inside Run Dimensions: 4X5 Feet
Outside Run Dimensions: 4X8 Feet
Fence is 6 Feet High
Herbst Haven Building Two Accommodations:
Two Large Breed's Fit Comfortably and Not Confined
Room Dimensions: 5X5 Feet
Fence is 6 Feet High
Climate controlled and when weather permits we can open up a large overhead door that will allow them the outside atmosphere
Herbst Haven Small Room Accommodations:
(50lbs. or less)

Fence is 4 Feet High
All our four-legged guests receive the same amenities whether they stay in Building One or Building Two
We provide an additional 32X30 outside fenced in space for your pups to play individually and enjoy the weather

We charge per evening. The best way to look at this is just like a hotel stay. With a hotel you're charged per evening with a late check in and an early check out.
Please understand that our specific drop off and/or pickup hours are between only 9:00AM-11:00AM or 3:00PM-5:00PM. We do not offer any special accommodations in between these hours as we are with our visitors as promised to our customers and or cleaning and transitioning for the next visitor.
Herbst Haven Kennels Policy:
Each customer is responsible for paying for their scheduled time reserved. Any cancellation or changes to the reservation must be done before 24 hours of the drop off date scheduled. If you choose to pick up your pup earlier than your original reservation or if you drop off later than expected you are still obligated to pay for your entire stay scheduled. If you cancel within 24 hours you will receive an invoice automatically from Herbst Haven Kennels for your pup's full stay booked. Please understand that this policy has taken effect because your pup was occupying the space booked therefore we could not accommodate other customers' needs.

Price Per Night: $60.00 (Plus Tax)
1/2 Day Accommodation Fee: $30.00 (Plus Tax)
Prices include relief time, play time and walk's
Extensive Care: $5.00 Per Night (Plus Tax)

COLLEEN
Owner
Colleen opened up Herbst Haven Kennels back in August of 2020 during the struggles of the pandemic. Her background for work is in HR management and the corporate world. Therefore, this was a whole new chapter in her career. She would never have anticipated the passion, love and recognition that she feels each and every day in her final stage. The best part of Colleen’s job is bonding one on one with all of her four legged pals but also building each and every one on one relationship with new and existing customers. Once she is done playing, walking and caring for our visitors she then is rewarded with spending time in the evening with her husband and three labs. Colleen can’t wait to see you and your dog during your next visit!
KAYLENE
Customer Relations
Kaylene has been with Herbst Haven Kennels from the very start. She helped Colleen get everything up and running when they first opened. She would never have imagined herself quitting her full time job to work for HHK back in 2021. It was the best move she made! She finds her job very rewarding building customer relationships and connections not only on a professional level but also on a personal basis. She loves being able to assist new and existing customers. It is such a positive feeling when she is able to accommodate a customer's needs. Kaylene has her hands in all aspects of the business including offering her assistance with whatever is needed with your four legged friends. When Kaylene is not in the office she enjoys time with her family including her two sweet dogs Ford and Skylar.
ANA
Lead Kennel Attendant
Ana joined Herbst Haven Kennels back in March of 2022 as a kennel attendant but was recently promoted to our team lead kennel attendant due to her knowledge and her take charge attitude. Ana is always looking out for the best care and safety for our visitors. There are many aspects of Ana’s job that she enjoys but the first one that comes to mind is how each shift she not only meets new pups but also each and every customer that comes through our door. She adores getting to know every pup's unique personality and what makes them so special. Ana recently graduated from high school. Ana has a lot of experience as she was raised on a farm. Therefore, her goal is to pursue a career and future only involving animals as she can not imagine her life without them. She is currently trying to start her own in-home pet sitting for both dogs and cats with extensive medical care while still continuing to work for Herbst Haven.
MAYA
Kennel Attendant
Maya joined our team back in March of 2022. Maya’s favorite thing about working with us at HHK is the feeling of the small family community. She loves caring, playing, walking and bonding with our visitors. Maya stated “From big to small, she loves them all!” Maya loves experiencing hugs and kisses from our visitors as it is very rewarding to her. She hopes to pursue a career within becoming a veterinarian or vet tech. She wants to pursue this job not only because she loves animals but also because animals need someone to care for them in times of need, both through sickness and in health. With Maya joining our team at HHK she has built confidence to also take care of her own personal lab, Rome.
BRENNA
Kennel Attendant
Brenna joined our team back in October of 2022. Brenna’s favorite thing about working with us at HHK is how she can come into work everyday with a smile on her face. Dogs bring her so much happiness and joy. She loves getting the opportunity to take care of a member of a person's family. Seeing the dogs happy when they are dropped off and the joy in the owner's face when they get picked up is such a warming feeling and rewarding to Brenna! Brenna hopes to go into either dietetics for people or animals, or both! A healthy life is so important to her and she wants them to feel their best! She stated “One day I’d love to own my own dog kennel because I love working at HHK so much!” Brenna recently lost her best friend, her 14 year old golden retriever therefore this fills a void in her life as well as pup-sitting for other people’s pets while they are away.
KEIRA
Kennel Attendant
Keira joined our team back in April of 2023. Keira has expressed that she really likes working with our customers and her co-workers. Keira has taken an interest in getting to know and bond with all our pals. Keira is a senior this year so therefore real estate is her end goal. She enjoys the creativity real estate would provide as she has an interest in the architectural structures and designs of homes. Keira leaves work and goes home to spend quality time with her family and her own three dogs. Keira has taken the initiative to visit local humane societies and shelters. During her school years she has also taken animal/horse science classes therefore animals have been a passion to her.
MADDY
Kennel Attendant
Maddy is our newest member of our Herbst Haven Kennels team. She has officially joined our team starting August of 2023. In the short time Maddy has been with us she has enjoyed playing and feeding our four legged friends. She is excited and looking forward to meeting all of our customers that she will greet and welcome as they arrive. Maddy’s grandma was the one who introduced her to the love and passion for dogs as she showed, bred and groomed all breeds. Maddy grew up with many dogs in her home as well. Maddy’s goal and wish is to pursue something in the animal field as she has really enjoyed taking classes in the past. She has learned about dog body language and behaviors for both large and small pups. She has also taken animal science and has shown a large interest in this subject. After her day is over Maddie loves going home to her pal Whiskey.
